Founded in 1999, PELVIPHARM is a spin-off from the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (France) relying on multi-disciplinary (MDs, PharmDs, vetrinarians and PhDs) who deliver both high quality academic standards and reliable :
- Preclinical studies based on validated efficacy models including delivery of protocol development, study conduct, report, communication and peer-reviewed publication
- Guidance for selection of new chemical entities including testing with targeted assays according to potential mechanisms of action
Identification of new properties or attributes supporting differentiation of medications within the class or between classes - Advice in clinical development for new therapeutic indications or enhancements to address unmet medical need or significant commercial opportunities

If we’ve learned anything in the past years, it’s that science matters.
At Pelvipharm, we believe that every disease should be approached with the same sense of urgency. That is exactly why Pelvipharm was founded back in 1999. By offering its unique expertise, we help scientists design complex research studies and carry out more innovative experiments in less time and at a lower cost.
We are constantly launching new models and techniques and contributing to the growing available scientific literature. We believe in an agile approach to drug research and strive to contribute to how science improves people’s lives in the future thanks to the work we do together today!

Our Platforms
We offer a comprehensive list of in vitro and in vivo models covering a wide range of indications and using various platforms.
Each lab is dedicated for either in vivo, ex vivo, biochemical, molecular biology or (immuno)-histological studies on animal or human tissue.
- In vivo experiments in anaesthetized animals

Animal facilities managed by Pelvipharm
In vivo experiments in conscious animals, behavioral or telemetric studies are performed in specific isolated and dedicated rooms within the animal housing facilities.

Our Certifications
- Our state-of-the-art animal facility is managed by qualified technicians. All experimental studies are fully compliant with Directive 2010/63/EU, follow the principle of the 3R’s (Refine-Reduce-Replace) and have received official authorizations reviewed by our ethics committee and the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI). Our internal animal well-being training program with emphasis on animal welfare allows steady improvement of our staff’s skills.
- We have been presiding the French Ethics Committee CEEA-47 since 2011.
- We are fully accredited to run studies with micro-organisms and toxins (MOT) by the French Agency of Drug Safety (ANSM-Agence de Sécurité du Médicament).
Our Staff
The team is made up of scientists and research technicians who bring years of experience and knowledge into the preclinical research models we perform in our laboratories. Our employees average 9.1 years with the company. Globally, more than 30% of our employees have more than 15 years of service, thereby maintaining a low level of employee turnover and guaranteeing technical stability and robustness. The direct links forged between your lab and ours are the grounds of a fruitful working relationship. Our project management is based on transparency with regular project reporting as often as requested.
